Write a Word

Write a word, maybe two,
straight to me, straight from you.
Pretty or not, make it sincere;
Let it be everything you want me to hear.

What fills your heart when you lie alone?
What do you feel beside a dormant phone?
Share your pain and may it bring pleasure.
May it hold love I will treasure forever.

I may be going down your list for a while now. I feel like a fern being pulled out to the sea within, not even caring to struggle against the tide. Even though this is only two stanzas long, it is more than strong enough to illustrate that dynamite really does come in small packages. Excellent pen you have!

  • This makes me want to write even more.I love this one.I am one of the few who like ryming poetry and you do it very well

    I like it

It sounds spontaneous and sincere. Contrary to some of the other reviewers, I like poems that rhyme.
    Well done

  • I like it

generally, I don't like poems that rhyme, cuz you can tell that they tried to hard, but I can see the merits now, you make it FLOW really good. me gusta!!! ^_^

Thank you very much. I don't like rhyming a lot either because of the same reason. But I'm glad you think mine is exceptional. ^_^

Glad that I read it. though you wrote it personally to someone, this made me smile cause it's relatable for someone like me whose muse is missing. I like S1 most especially

awww. I loves it. Though is it a poem of love or abandonment?

  • This is very clear and deceptively simple. I like it as It holds a lot of emotion and memories.

WOW... it takes me back to the days I sat and pondered over the same thoughts and exact same words... then, it didn't strike that I could pen my emotions and sentiments...What we after all expect from our beloveds, just honesty and sincerity... If they say Yes or No, if it comes sincerely from their heart that does the enough magic with us, doesn't it... I love this sincere write...
    Thanks for featuring it...
    Love
