Reaching for You

I haven't the words, yet want to console you.
Come into my shoulder, let my arms enfold you.
Except to say.. all this too shall pass with time.
Let the flood gates loose, I share your tears in kind.
Know the loved ones lost, now are beyond pain.
Reside in peace, in the Lord's comforting reign.
And I know it seems easy.. for me to say,
Things lost are only things, be brave start again.
But for now..rest.. release in my arms.
You are safe....nothing else can harm.
I'm right here with you, and here I'll stay.
Until all pain has past, and you tell me go away.
It might seem in flesh, I'm too far away.
But I'm holding you close in my heart to stay.
From the ashes of desolation, that Phoenix will rise.
Have faith, help each other too, wipe the tears from your eyes.

Most welcome my friend. And I know how hard it is to see a future for those so effected by it. But time as they say,is a healer.

The heart often become misplaced until a tragedy occurs. And the the good heart shines through. Even if miles away. You have shown that poet.

Thanks Bob. These fires can't help but remind us here in the US of our own sad ill fates. California's reoccuring hillside homes ablaze. The devistation of Katrina,Greensburg Kansas becoming wiped off the map and many deaths as well as family homes for generations gone in a flash.
