A young boy,
too young to learn,
but old enough to know.
He carried his blankie
wherever he went.
it was his security.
To the playground,
To the backyard,
To the pirate ships,
To the moon,
To wherever,
It was his best friend.
On his adventures he met this girl
Oh what fun they had together,
swinging,
digging,
fighting,
exploring.
They had so much fun.
The young boy wrapped up a present for the little girl.
He did it for the day everyone gave each other hugs and kisses.
When she opened it,
She wrapped it around her shoulders.
His blankie kept her warm.
And she would never forget.
