n...My Enchanted Garden

Missing image

I walk into my enchanted garden

and visit all my friends

They make me feel so welcome

they all flash smiles and grins

A tiny fairy setting on a mushroom

waves and tells me hello

He ask if I will set with him

and watch the glow-worm glow

He glows with mere delight

and puts on quite a show

For his friends to see at night

he makes his body glow

A tiny little wood nymph

is sitting on a wooden log

Her delightful mode of dress

glitters in the mist of fog

A butterfly is flitting around

and touching every single flower

It is so beautiful in all it's color

but naive to all it's power

A tiny little bird sitting on a limb

in a special dogwood tree

It tweets songs of gentle woes

and entertains both you and me

As I leave my enchanted garden

and all the beauty that lies within

I will always remember things I saw

and tell everyone where I've been

    Blake would have Williamed

William Blake would go to the bottom of his garden and talk to the fairies in the trees so it could only please his glowing spirit, still being, were he seeing, that his treeing were not needing of renewal.

I liked the semi-rhyme of the first stanza, and the occasional slowing and haphazardly stiltifying flowing of the piece leaves one knowing more a childhood view than one more like an adult would have pulled on through such liason. Well done.

    I applaud appropriately.

    EXCELLENT!

You have painted a wonderful fairytale picture. (And the chosen background is just so perfect...

Beautiful maybe we al need an enchanted garden. Or a place as such for some beauty, peace, and quite. I take a spot near the ocean in California. To me, the Pacific is a beautiful and quiet ocean. Take care.

In a world so full of despair and sadness this is like a breath of fresh air, a drift back for a while into fantasy and enchantment. Lovely. Sheila
