one step... two steps... down a third
the basement door grows so near
and your hand shakes wildly
as it reaches for the door
disgrace enters your mind
as that door swings forward
walking towards the drawer
it unlocks to your doing
fingers running across smooth metal
a trigger on your finger
dropping it a few times
feelings growing deeper
believing you are worthless
petty little soul
ready to end that life?!
we dare you
voices in your head
encouraging these actions
succumb to their will
you know you've always wanted to
one day they'll all laugh
laughing because you're dead!
six feet under you will lie
rotting in the ground
so you think all this in your head
racing faster to this death
tighter, tighter the trigger pulls
metal shard entering your mind
cold and lifeless, that body lays
your soul may live, but only in hell
burning fast, you'll dissipate
into the flames eternally.
Author notes
