I once thought love was everything
The smile on your face
The butterflies in your stomach
The tear in your eye
I thought it was something
That could
And would last
Forever
Looking at those who have
Not loved
Or have simply experienced a glimpse of love
I wonder what it’s like
I wonder what it’s like
To not have been or felt hurt
To not know what it’s like to miss someone
Or to feel innocence again
Love may be everything and nothing all at the same time
And it may be what makes the world go round
But it’s also the reason for so many heart broken girls
And mascara stained pillows.

Interesting concept and the last lines, no way around it, as it seems. Well written. Blessings.
