My Garden

“As ye sow…”
In my ignorance
how could I know
I was the fertile ground?

I sit among the weeds…
my garden.

Beauty is in the eye
of the innocent.

This is damn good, I like how you took this prompt. And such imagery, and the chosen words.
    Also I loved these lines:
    "In my ignorance
    how could I know
    I was the fertile ground?"

    Best of luck

wow talk about intense & dark. the last line in the first stanza is powerful & packs a punch. such a sad poem too, unfortunately many of my childhood friends went through something this unthinkable.
    excellent take on the prompt

    good luck

That was so exotic! The words were like a painful song with a hope so pale and dimnished! Lovely write! Good luck in the contest!

This feels more foreboding then it appears.
"How could I know I was the fertile ground" leaves much to the imagination.

Thank you for entering my contest and good luck
