Sultry pearls
of summer
June's perfume
smelled
like sex.
Dreadlocked
stares
across hazed
lust.
eyes as
vacant as
the empty
parking lot.

I laughed, because I read the thing about the pearls, and the name june, and made me think of the movie/show leave it to beaver, and how they were all perfect and stuff, then when you mentioned her perfume smelling like sex i thought about the movie..oh bah idk what its called...something -ville...pleasantville, where they live in that type of word till they discover sex and color comes to the black and white show

The imagery is indeed fresh, weaving a sensual presence of spark into embers to ponder. Nicely done. Best wishes in the contest!
