Spider.

  The world is upside down...

                              again.

  A blank white ceiling

    borders your home:

      a sanctuary of invisible wires.

  Bathroom facilities hang below, or above,

    instruments used by an alien species.

  Water starts to pour from the shower,

    filling the air with the noise

      like the crashing cascade of the Niagara's;

        signalling beginning of a daily ritual.

  You sit - motionless - watching from your spot,

    on the hand-made couch of strings,

   eating popcorn and enjoying the show;

           the reincarnation of a peeping tom.

    I try to like,not intentionally go out of my way to squash a spider, but if it's on me it's as good as dead Interesting take on the creepy crawlers

    You know, I hate spiders...they're creepy little things, but they see so much of the world...they make things of beauty that we consider icky...and this poem was peaceful. I can't say enough about your poetic talent. It's awesome!!

      i hate spiders too - slightly arachnaphobic. But i have recently developed a habit of writing about creatures i'm terrified of... spiders, snakes.. and ninja alligators
      Thank you for another wonderful comment
