Rhymes Make Light

To single out one poet I would call special
would be unfair to each I call friend,
for there is not only one or two but many
whose time they lend and their ears I bend.
Ah, each one a worthy brother, sister, and friend!
After pondering and weighing longevity,
I picked out the greatest of my friends.
He is the grand master of free form poetry,
whose words no one wants to read or tend;
yet, He's absolutely the truest of good friends.
One always finds Him online to help you and me,
sending sunshine angels for more friends;
for He knows His words are always amidst my rhymes
to assuage their pain o'er man's trends:
that they, too, will become His true and loyal friends.
Who is this poet far above all poets fair?
Why, it is God, my most unique friend:
an undisputed, amazing mentor to me
and to all who find His words I tend.
Then He gave His Son for a true and loyal friend!
With this Poet, His words get better and better
as He offers great love in friendship
and guides each friend in the ways we should always go,
then gives His Spirit in mentorship.
Pitiful rhymes make light of His guardianship.

The one thing I have learned during my journey with the Holy Spirit is that God is not many things but everything: the Great Poet, the Great Physician, the Great Psychiatrist, the Great Author . . .
He IS my prose and poetic inspiration and mentor. One might think the Bible is not poetry, but it is the greatest free form: just look at Psalms, or any book in the Bible. His words and phrasing flow like the river of life, has the rhythm of a perfect heart, and His imagery and metaphors surpass anything we ever could devise.
He also has woven throughout His Word His secrets and mysteries as well as Revelation's perfect interpretation: right there in plain sight! Yet, the majority will never see them. His writing also is in perfect harmony, but noted only when one studies His word as He has instructed how to study.
And, in all this, God and Christ give me perfect love, perfect peace, and a life totally void of fear of any kind or any human or . . . fear of anything! 
My greatest wish is that everyone would know Him and Christ as I have come to know them. I am blessed, blessed beyond most people's comprehension; for they look only at the surface and at the world, not seeing beyond the veil of illusion.
This is why God IS my inspiration!

Wow this is just beautiful. Yes God is the finest poet of all. Look at the Psalms just amazing. No rhyme needed in His Great Words Of Wisdom in his Holy Book Of Writings In Free Verse. Nothing like learning great poetry from God's chosen men to write, some of the very finest divinely chosen my our Great Creator to bring to our life's the master piece of loving mentor-ship in and through the Bible.
