I loved the way you touched me,
the way I knew you felt me,
how I knew you loved me,
when you said that you would never leave me,
I tried writing my thoughts down
on pages full of memory.
glass falls from rain clouds,
cutting me,
I scream out loud,
lacerations bleed me,
hopes fade
and dreams break,
you told me I was nothing,
but now I understand you,
how you wanted me to be,
but now you're the one to flee,
so goodbye forever now,
I don't ever want to see your face again,
never want to be like you,
but now I see I'm changing,
More like you every day,
my heart sways,
I soon begin to miss you,
wanting you beside me,
I bleed slowly,
crying for you to hold me,
I need you,
I want you to love me,
to keep me safe when i'm hurting,
but you tell me its over,
I can't have you,
you don't want me,
I hurt more,
but I'll get over it,
I always do
and I always will,
strong like me,
weakened heart,
pretend to smile
with a bleeding heart.
