between the lines
there exists monsters,
ghosts, skeletons,
& each of the seven
cardinal sins
between the shrouded sheets
barely laid, enslaved to each other's doubts
she was sloth to his envy
him, with greenslick eyes
wished a greedy night
to kiss her lips
snakehips grew a body of lust
then slithered
slow, down and down
O' red red rose, you pretty little thing
diaphonous darings to the moon's pride
stood the wrath of wanton tongues
they: talked in many languages
spilled their guts onto the fragile earth
& stared into the rings of hell
- fucked all night long
another day
another dollar
gluttony exits
on the town

Didn't really care for the italiced part at the end, the line before it seemed to be just as good of an ending as any other. Of course, I've been out of the game of reading/writing poetry as of late so perhaps I'm a bit rusty in both areas these days. eh, that's life.
Great poem, except of course the two italiced verses at the end.
