Wiccan Chant of Power

Missing image

Wiccan Chant of Power

I conjure thee O spirit light
Invoking thee O spirit bright
I bind your soul eternally
O spirit light I conjure thee

I am your guide, I’m in control
I own the essence of your soul
So follow me and be my bride
I’m in control, I am your guide

This spell of power I invoke
And all free will I do revoke
I am the poison you devour
I invoke this spell of power

I conjure thee O spirit mine
You know my power is divine
Submit to me on bended knee
O spirit mine I conjure thee

Line six, in particular, is magnificent! "i own the essence of your soul". I also particularly love the first two lines of stanza three: you get the tone of voice of the chant so wonderfully here! The subtle change in the rhythm of the whole poem is astounding. BRAVO!!!!

    Amera,

Some people. Calling others names. Shame on them. I would like to see their face if you had started chanting this in front of them. lol
    Wonderful write.

    I hear the magic words
    That shall never rescind
    That are so well penned

  • Nice writing...interesting subject, can't say as that I understand the Wiccan stuff much further than the basics of it's origin...this was...different and entertaining; I enjoyed the diction and the cleverness of your style. , Dannie

nice write. I like the simple rhyme it works and sort of incantation on the reader. Beautiful in flow.

A swap quatrain is perfect for a spell, it has all the resonance of a mystic chant and this poem uses that to perfection.
Another form at which you excel and another example of your best work

    Great stuff
