their tracks they never end
Goin round every corner
around every bend
Consitency is a trains main course
they rarely go off track
But now I'm beginning to think
whats the fun in that
I've been headin down these train tracks
they've chained me down for too long
Goin in the same direction
they never let me run
But even when my confidence breaks
I think I'll be alright
So I'll jump off these train tracks
and start livin my life
The roads look bright and sunny
but sometimes I've seen it rain
I've seen hard times and I've seen good,
but it's never been the same
Well it's hard to have adventure
when you're stuck on a moving train
So here I go, I think I'll jump
it's time to start again
Oh I've been headin down these train tracks
for far too long now
Goin in the same direction
they never let me run
So even when my confidence breaks
I think I'll be alright
So I'll jump off these train tracks
and start livin my life

nice, i like how you're trying not to always go with the flow. did find one thing- Consitency is a trains main course, they rarely go off track
you forgot the other s in consistency. thanks for entering -

Superb Plus +
Ah, 'tis a fine write, indeed. You've expressed yourself quite clearly. This also reminds me of one which I wrote, I think I called it: "Trains", Here's a link to it: http://allpoetry.com/poem/2466793 -
I like this it is realy good comparing the train tracks to life I guess sometimes we all feel like just jumping off and start over new. but jumping off is hard to do I am not sure if you have made that jump But I am sure when the right time comes you will make it.

I feel a little sadness and mystery in this poem as it seems you may never actually make the jump off those tracks, but just think about it. Good write.

I like this. I think, not because of the constuction of it or even the flow but because I lately have had an obsession with trains and their tracks. So thank you for writing something, although you did it unaware, that catered to my craving
-
What a lovely piece - both inspirational and smooth.
So I'll jump off these train tracks
and start livin my life. Those lines are a bit of something that a lot of people sing over and over to me, especially he under my comment. :P
Thanks for the read, was well enjoyed. :)

Wow
You know, I enjoy most of the lyrics you write, but sometimes you seem to hit it just right. This song walks and talks and rings and sings, I'll tell you that. This is one I wanna hear with my ears too. It's funny how something really strikes your heart and words just pop out isn't it. This is great!
Hugs and love,
Grampa
