You take our money
With your greedy hands...
You take our lives
And don't give a damn...
Why must you take and never return?
And even when you do
It's never what we've earned.
Well take your greed and your lies,
And turn them on those stagnant eyes.
Make them see what it is like
To be on this,
The other-side.
In times of hate...
In times of war...
You took our help,
And made us poor.
But so long
As it was you we served,
You took our lives
And gave us trials, undeserved.
Why not take back what has been given?
And give to the rich
Our blackest black.
So take your gluttony and your fallacies,
And turn them on those dollared eyes.
Make the bastards see what it is like
To be on this,
The other-side...

I liked the idea behind this poem. It was a cold testament to everyone's trials these days. Money and a sense of security are fleeting these days. Excellent write and good luck in my contest.
