If I hold you too tightly
its because I'm not used to being held.
If I feel the need to constantly touch you, let me.
I like making physical contact of any kind with you.
If I stare at you
realize that I am trying to see into your soul.
If I kiss you deeply
its because I'm trying to draw a part of your being into me.
At the same time I'm giving my own essence to you.
If I act silly, smile and laugh each time we talk,
its because I thrive on this sunshine you warm me with.
If at some point I seem selfish and unwilling to share my
my time with you in the company of others,
it'll be because I'm selfish and unwilling to share
my time with you in the company of others.
If I seem too willing to please you, I am.
If I exhaust us both when we make love,
simply put I am unused to this hunger you've awakened in me.
If I want you too much,
its because I know you want me at least a fraction as much.
If I only have the hots for you and am lusting for your body,
keep bringing yourself to me.
Let's be in lust.
Who knows it may turn out to be one heck of a joyride
into love.

I have been with one man that made me feel the sunshine every day that I was with him. Your poem made me think of him and I smiled.
