Sometimes I wish there was blinking red light,
Some annoying robotic voice screaming for me to stop!
Turn back.
Some kind of early weather warning system for everyday life,
Yes that's what I need.
CAUTION! Trouble ahead.
If only that robotic voice could sound in my head,
Warn me of the terrible things to come.
The fights,
The yelling,
Hair pulling,
Maybe the pain they bring could be undone.
A simple vision of the future that stops you in your tracks.
Don't go on! Stay in bed!
Maybe you should've told me you were in a foul mood,
That you were eager to provoke a fight.
CAUTION! Trouble ahead.
You said you'd be back in a bit,
But strangely you went to someone else.
You lied so much,
Said you'd tried to talk to me,
But did you really?
I need a bright light telling me I'm not in the mood for your lies,
Someone screaming so loud I can't possibly continue this path.
Stop! Turn back before it's too late.
Perhaps my tears like a thunderstorm should've been your warning,
The red streaks of anger beneath my surface a danger sign.
CAUTION! Trouble ahead.
