Ruby And Ethel Texans Tall Tales

Two old gals had been friends forever,
and often would sit and talk
about the men in their life.
And one day there was a heck of a flood,
was all the way into the back yard that's right.

Well Ruby and Ethel was a sitting on the back porch,
having their regular tea.
When Ethel tells Ruby do you see what I see?
And Ruby didn't answer at first
then she broke out in laughter indeed.

Ruby said, I just saw a cap float by,
and after a bit it was going
the other direction that's right.
Ethel chuckled and said yes I saw it to,
and she acted like she didn't care with little muse.

Ruby yells out but Ethel look, there it goes again!
What's going on it went down stream
then back up stream there it went.
Ethel pipes up and replies I told George
if he didn't mow the grass yesterday;
he was going to mow it
come hell or high water today.
