I'm not quite sure what to make of this, although it did make me smile. Not of a lover of humourous pieces, but I can see what you are getting at. And anyone who knows the name for a tilde gets my admiration! Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for your comments and for using the two words 'you are' in spite of what seems to be the current practice of using 'your'!
I must admit that I too never knew the name for a tilde until late in my long life.
I don't recall ever having to use it, nor do I find any reference to it in my most recent acquisition 'The art of Punctuation' by Noah Luleman,
published by Oxford University Press in paperback in 2007 -
ISBN 978-0-19-921078-7; which otherwise I find most useful.
My Microsoft keyboard does have a key for it, so that is how it found a place into my 'piece'.
From which part of England do you hail? I'm an ex Brit; An Aussie now
for over fifty years.
So I'll close by sending you my best wishes from 'down-under'.

Haha! That's quite funny. You should've totally placed in that other contest. Thanks for entering mine, and good luck.
