I was there when he looked at me in silence;
his eyes penetrating like fake pools,
consuming everything I say and do.
I was there when he spoke to me;
his words were like frozen petals
melting from the most delicate flower.
I was there when his once beautiful, perfect voice
turned into roars from a mountain top
with ice upon his breath.
I was there when the truth spoiled
and the once pure spirit of our bond became broken;
I kept listening.
I was there when our dark, holy love
froze in thin air and
fell faster than ice in winter.
I was there when we lost what beauty that was left
and what flight we had inside our hearts
to the frozen, dark flower.
I was there when his heart stopped;
When the coldest bits of rock
enclosed the one thing he had left.
I was there when he looked at me in silence,
with his cold, penetrating eyes of ice
and when his flower-petal lips brushed mine.
With that kiss
I was there
frozen.

You used all of the words given and the line count was perfect. I felt like the theme was utilized a little too closely - and would have liked you to put a little more of yourself into the poem as a whole.
I found myself stumbling over the repetition of "I was there..." but the overall idea was pleasant.
Thank you for your entry and good luck in the contest!
