The earth is dried up
All that's left are sins
They blow like grains of dust
Over the empty sahara wasteland
The people are worn thin
Tired of their drained souls
Their dry words crumble
As they fall from lifeless lips
A mourning world looks to the sky
As God presents His forgotten gift
Rain like acid consumes the earth
Ravaging the evil that sucked it dry
At last the empty cracks are filled
There is nowhere left to hide
Every tiny space, every shallow groove
Overrun with a fury so dark and deep
The deafening pour silences the demons
A flood lifts the sunken souls
Crisp and clear as shards of glass
It renews all hope thought to be lost
An element so simple
Turning death into life
A taste of redemption
Water. Our saving grace.

i loved this poem, it was beautiful, the way that it was written, the simplisty of the poem, not that it is simple in a bad sense i was more thinking not really long like some are, but about the right length just added to the poem, i loved it
