I wrote this inside a match book ,
cause I don’t have no money.
But there’s sumpen I had to tell you ,
I really wont you for my honey.
I liked the way your eyes lit up,
when I gave you that Christmas wreath.
And sides that of all the girls I know,
you still got most all your teeth.
And you can pick more cotton,
than any other girl I know.
And you let me set beside you,
last week it the picture show.
So im mo ask you a question,
cause I thank it would be fine.
If you’d pucker up and kiss me,
and say you’d be my Valentine.
