The vow of love forever's not a lie!
Sincerely, lovers may prognosticate
and even when they're parted by and by,
through forces they could not anticipate,
the gift has truly been diminished none.
Real character of heart this burden bears;
to sacrifice self while God's work is done
and cast aside one's own Earthly affairs.
The actions of all lovers, to be sure,
are brief walks on illumination's path,
yet, what souls make eternal shall endure
though flesh succombs unto attrition's wrath.
We are but specks of stardust cast adrift;
eternal love's a transitory gift.

This is beautifully penned in iambic pentameter and recites as fluidly as any poem of love should. I felt that the content was meant as a message to me as well as for all of us. It has a feeling of spiritual wisdom that we should all stop and take notice of. The only advice I can offer is to correct the spelling of the word “succombs” to “succumbs”.
Love,
