"Twas ages ago,
in a biblical land,
there lived someone godly,
Abraham,
and with him lived
his two loyal wives
Sarah and Hagar
but, oh! the strife.
Two sons born,
Ismael and Isacc.
jealousy sworn,
it would prove tragic.
A slave girl's cries,
were heard by the Lord,
the eldest son, Ismael
to her was born.
Down through the ages,
to our day,
brothers still fighting,
the American way.
Pledging allegiance
to their flag,
giving their lives,
a toe wears a tag.
Makes me wonder
what the hell went wrong.
Don't we all deserve
to sing our own song?
It's a God-given right,
we have freedom of choice,
to choose our religion,
and to speak our voice.
Love one another
was to rule our way.
No matter who,
and no matter what day.
American Muslims
surely have the right
to worship their God,
without a single fight.
They pledge allegiance
just like the rest,
why do we insist
to make it a test?
Give a smile, share a hug,
and an
understanding nod.
Show respect, why not shrug?
lets leave the judging
up to God.
