Missing You My Angel

You were my angel, my hope
I could always turn to you knowing you could always help me.
You always had a smile upon your face
That smile never went away, no matter what the situation.

You were my best friend; no matter how much we fought our love remained
the same now and forever.
Many years and memories passed us by.
We aged and our love grew more.

I thought I could be with you forever.
Maybe its true you can. In my heart you will always stay.
Then that day turned our lives around and it was the first day that life itself
hit me harder than you can believe.
I knew you weren’t yourself.

You spoke of random things that made no sense and yet I still stayed by your side.
I held your hand tight never wanting to let go.
You looked me in the eyes and all I saw was pain and I knew this day would be the hardest
for me to live out.
There was no hint of your famous smile anywhere on your face.
I only saw pain and suffering.
Why?

The day you let go of my hand and said good-bye was the worst.
I cried and I knew I couldn’t see your smile ever again.
The tears wouldn’t stop and I kept asking myself, why?
I blamed myself for losing you and I knew it wasn’t true.

I wish I could turn back time and that things would be normal again just like they used to be.
That way there can be no more good-byes.
It would be just you and me.
Now that you’re gone I know I will miss you, my angel, my strength.
All is lost without you, I’m incomplete. So when that time comes I’ll
meet you at heaven’s gate and see your smiling face once again.
And I’ll be in those loving arms once again.

You’re my angel watching over me.
This is hard for me to say….
I can’t wait to see you again someday
That’s when you and me can be together forever.
Just you and me.
I’m missing you my angel, my best friend please come back to me
