Wondering ?

We rise in early morning to a lovely clear blue sky
And as the morning lengthens fluffy clouds soon come by
By afternoon the clouds are thick building into into storms
By evening there is lightning, and thunder as is norm
But the promised rain never comes, just  like any other day
We get a lovely lightning show, then it all blows away.
Thermometer says it's stinking hot, humidity high as well
I wonder if it's like this all the time , down in bloody hell?

Author notes

Heat wave conditions are with us. relief maybe next week?

Nice write. I could practically see the clouds moving across the sky on a summer day. Like the final line a lot.

We have extreme weather conditions in our place. It is normal. The poem describes just one of the many phenomena of living here. Thank you, I appreciate your commenting.

Coming up to six weeks fairly constant now, temps in the 40's and no rain at all. Snow is something we only see on the tele. However it is the way of the land and we must make the best of whatever comes along. Bloody hard sometimes. Many thanks for commenting, I appreciate it.
      Cheers

I seriously doubt we will get relief any time soon. This poem was just fantastic and I love the very last line. We have had monstrous heat here as well and I can't see it changing because the humidity is sitting quite low. Besides, the ants are bust but not moving their eggs, a sure sign of big rain. Tomorrow it is suppose to hit higher than 45 so I am just going to lie in the bath all day...lol!!!!!!!!! Loved this so much. You are a very talented story teller and I think I can learn a lot from your brilliant writes. Thank you.

Have faith my dear, relief is on the way. Today is saturday and I look forward to a good restful sleep on Monday night. You should get your relief sooner than that. We have baby rabbits, parrots with new nests and some with young, and busy, busy ants. Sure signs of coming rain. this land has survived drought, fire, and floods for millions of years, it will still be here long after we have gone. Mother Nature will care for it all in spite of human efforts to bugger it all up. I appreciate your comments and thank you for them.

seems to be all over the country mate, we in Sydney are bracing for 40 odd plus ourselves... so cant imagine the heat closer to the centre... seems weatherman are the only people who can continually get their job wrong, and still retain it
I dont think hell gets this hot either
    cheers mate

The climate experts say we are going to have these heat waves more often and for longer duration due to global warming. I wonder what they tell the people in London where bitter cold and snow has shut down so much of the country. There ain't no hell mate, except the one we make for ourselves right here. Appreciate your comments mate and would rather have 40 out here than in Sydney where the humidity is so much higher.

It seems no one is happy in the heat. However, it won't last forever. We do not have air-con, but we survive. Thanks Mary, for your comments, and thoughts.

Many thanks my friend for your comments and suggestions. I will take them to heart right now. It's still hot as hades, high 30's in the house and I don't know what outside but it was 50 in the sun this afternoon.
