When Things Go Wrong

Yo you there Mr. black man
what you doing in the stewing pan?
don’t you know folk around here won’t
give a damn
My My
is this the life you planned?
Yeah sometimes life cuts you down
robs you of your academic crown
We see it all around
people just dying for little achieved
bureaucracy interwoven in red tape
so fucking intangible
Hope
lost in a sea of fear
Unemployment
costing tax payers more green
each passing year
Government puppet’s killing our freedom
My My
where does it all go from here?
Well when things go wrong
the black man gets picked on first
kicked in the head just for singing his song
When he tries to stand tall
he is cursed
when he cries for child’s dream
the white man pushes him off the team
My My
nothing black seems to apply
just murder in a school of rage
and lust in a cage
Gang bangers with their AK47’s
shots fired along paths to heaven
drive-by’s and fucked up lives
colours in the hood attacked by knives
Wake up America!
this is not Africa
this is your neighbourhood
My My
nothing is understood
When things go wrong
it is the black man caught in a storm
unable to sing his song
My My
when will society ever reform
give equally their share to black and white
When things go horribly wrong
born black won’t get you along
whereas born white is all you need to belong
My My
smoking crack and under aged pregnancies
they go together in the black community
stupid home girls lacking proper tendency
Ah mother fuck everybody in this reality
for this is a fallacy
and the black man knows it too
Truth and the American way
it’s a game to those without a clue
a crime to those easily swayed
My My
where can we all go from here
Well when things go wrong
don’t stay home pondering over a new song
When things go wrong
it won’t at all matter whether you’re
black or white
so sing your song for freedom rights
and Mr. black man
just believe you are the man
that’s got his life planned
My My
when things go wrong
still be the man and throw away the rage
for you need to turn over a new page
furthermore Mr. black man, don't ever give up the fight
as you gotta stand up for your democratic rights
and so there you will learn to ride the wave of fame
your reassurance for all things to do with your name
So when things go wrong
when things go wrong
Just sing your fucking song

Martin luther would be proud of this, better still kid rock would probablly approve also.
A pity though that most who need to read and learn will miss these words of wisdom.

This poem is just so real, and your inspiration was well thought of and really crisp. I totally think is was great because its a unique subject people usually don't think about it when poem writing.
