I remember that feeling
Stepping out the door
Into a world of white
Snow on the ground
Sun in the sky

Feeling around blindly
Waiting for the moment
When your body settles from the shock
And you can see once again
Its white peace until then

A feeling much like the one i felt
When I met you
So stunned by the sudden brightness
Sudden clarity
I couldn't see

For days, I felt around blindly
Waiting for my senses to return
My sensibility flew away
All I could think about was you
The light white air caressing me

But there's the other feeling
One just as strong as the stunning freedom
And as much as I crave it, I fear this tune
Fear the feeling that I know
Is just around the corner

The moment you step back
After becoming comfortable with the light
And make the unwilling journey
Back through the door
The feeling of being lost again

This time not lost in light
Not lost with you
Surrounded in solid black
Unable to see colors
Waiting for the shock to settle in

And even then
Out of the sunlight
Back in the dark
My eyes cannot fully adjust
Please don't leave me.
