Hard day, long day,
not even worth the time,
perhaps the moments just slipped by unnoticed,
perhaps today was just a test.
Cool down, wrap it up,
the day is almost done,
getting ready to give it away,
getting ready to never again have this day.
But know, just hear,
there's more to life than this,
More to life than the struggles,
more to life than the tears.
Tears don't last, pain can't stay,
Don't think it's just a life,
A life of no importance,
A life no one will miss when it's gone.
Today is over, tomorrow's soon to come,
Nothing will last but the love you have,
Tomorrow will bring something so new,
And today will become yesterday's rain.
