Dark...Colored...Light!

It's kind of peculiar,
The way it be.
That Dark...Colored...Light,
Can help me see.
Her path I take,
Is the only route I know.
Ensuring my strength,
Will always grow.
I once was blind,
And my views were dim.
My chance to see her shine,
Was none, to slim.
But Dark was Her Light,
That I hung to.
That brought me up,
And pulled me through.

That Dark...Colored...Light.
What a sight to see.
Since now I'am aware,
That Light is me.
Now what is my gender.
I'am sure you may ask.
Like time, my gender is,
The future, present, and past.
I come in smells of Lilac,
And Rose in the wind.
Plus a masculine smell,
That blows in the wind.
I'am fruitful at night,
But by day, I'am barren,
My reddish brown braids are long.
My bald head is glaring.

In subways I'm seen.
In clubs I'm seen.
Seems like I'm seen so much,
It seems a dream.
Like after every dark night,
The Light will burst.
And though the Light may come,
My dark night was first.
My mother was dark.
My brother was dark.
And though I'am Light,
My color is dark.
These words I've revealed,
Are illuminating bright,
So keep in mind,
I'll always shine,
That Dark...Colored...Light!
