You say it is a lie
This world
Everything is amiss
We love the wrong things
We care for nothing right
All lies
You know this
Eyes open
Mind aware
But so blind
So very blind to why
Everything.
Everything in our time is wrong
In this time of affliction
What have we for comfort?
Our balm
Our divine consolation in a godless world
Is our selfishness
We call selflessness
Is our pain
We call pleasure
This world
A lie?
Our generation is a distortion
We are the satin blood flowing from the hearts of our fathers
Turned cold
Yes this world is a lie
But we do not need you
To know
Through bated tears
Everything
Is crystalline
This world is a untruth
The sacred lie
We hold truest.
Author notes
Yes I'm back writing! This one's inspired by a poem by the almighty Allison Yuen.

I like it

This does sound a bit like something Allison would write...but who cares?! Nice poem.
You might want to give her credit in your Notes. -
Okay I'm sorry I offended you by being inspired by something of yours. I'll never do it again, I promise.

Other than some words and the theme, I don't really understand what you mean. o.o
