And I danced
hoping all the while
that emulsion was real
and not just another urban myth.
I was milk,
relaxed and fluid
flowing through life as free as a bird
and yet, bottled up tight.
He was cream,
versatile and multifarious
naturally rising to the top of the pecking order
and still, totally unreliable.
We only shared one passion,
frozen peas.
He to sell them.
And I, to eat them.
I being low fat,
and him heavy whipping cream
traditionally
we did not associate with each other.
Choosing to hide our love affair
keeping our whispered dreams a secret
overheard by only the frozen peas
but we trusted them.
Eventually;
our lives were shaken up
enough
for us to mix together.
Only by then
the peas had wasted away
and all that was left of us
was a pool of stagnant water.
~ Emulsified liquids always separate

I thought you were going to make creamed peas with this, and then it took a turn and suprised me completely. I loved it, great idea, and great job getting it into word-pictures.
