For All is Well

Twilight falls,
a hush descends,
the cricket calls,
the evening ends.

A chill is felt,
the moon does rise,
the shadows melt,
the light dies.

The moonlight casts
upon your face,
the echoed past
of nature's grace.

A whispered note
among the trees
sung quite by rote
upon the breeze.

Dark shades of blue
with silver light
moonbeams of dew,
oh, what a sight.

Your heart does move
in forest dell.
Hush now, my love,
for all is well.

-D.B.

Author notes

Not much to say about this one. A standard sub-standard nature/love? ditty.

Thank you for the comment! You know, you're the second person to comment on my poem almost instantaneously after I posted it. I haven't been in in a few months. Is this something new? I'm Daniel, by the way. Again, thanks for the comment.

Ah, the random poem button. I forgot about that one. When I first joined AP, they didn't have one, so I never even remember there is one. And nice to meet you too, Anna. I've two more poems, I think, to submit, then I'll comment on something from you.
