_______________________________________________________________________
You call me yours and you are mine
We descend the swirling unity of light
from palisade to water
splitting the atoms of being
and temporary insanity, where warm air
rises high in effluvial rhythms
Breezes lap the shallow-tugged shore
skirting the dusk, in quiet moonspill
prospecting the ruins of stars
without apology for what we do
because passion cares not for reason
By day, we rest, naked in sleep
tangled in bone-white branches, ancient as dust
our lives abandoned in hurly-burly haste
drifting through metaphysical terrains, pondering
the spurious persistence of memories lost
Consider now the ambiguity of love -
how, once felt, it's spectral glow resumes
in recollection’s quiet sky, and deepest blue
defines the feathered radiance of peace
Dreaming Sky
