Glass Splintered Soul

Ever sharp the glass digs deeper,
Ever beating heart grows slower,
Ever feeling emotion grows duller.

With every breath she takes,
A little more she breaks,
To the glass in the core of her body.

Every second he denies
Deeper it does glide.
when by chance an offer made.

“Every day the pull will lessen,
Very soon your splinter removed,
Never will that scar show.”

Strange though it may seem,
This offer was refused.
Her reason thus:

To lose him
Was to lose herself,
Any pain was worth him being in her  life.
