Bound to a symbol,
her undying faith,
washing herself of sin;
darkest desires harbored,
spent,
now absolution, her savior.
Begging forgiveness
with stony heart;
pouring out a soul,
maelstrom of lies and revenge.
And still, her eyes show no remorse...

Lovely! Thanks for sharing! -
This is great. Your words show someone who is begging for forgiveness, when really they are not sorry at all.

I like your take on the prompt. very interesting. I do have one thing, a suggestion actually. 1st stanza.. lines 4 & 5.. don't make sense, also a bit choppy, not a smooth flow. and its just me on this part.. my preference is not to have one word on a line by itself.
good luck
