Forsaken

Nights flying swiftly within dreams,
Sweet voices flowing gentle streams,
In the bower that binds our scene,
Ophidian shrouds the evergreen --

A paradise for the fanatic savages,
Weaving the melodious sect that wages
War upon the Summer's eve, refusing
The remnants of peace, forgetting --

I come, indestructible beneath the stars,
Sunken in the realm of bars that marred,
Storing the corrupt sinners in bondage,
Joining the damned, drenched in Luciferian rage.

'Eclipsing my heart asunder,
I come forth, forsaken, 'pon flights of wonder ...'

How arcane is your lugubrious nature
Towards thee, deleterious, restive creature,
Who scribed our hearts as one to glisten deeply,
'Pon the cataracts of thy soul perniciously.

And as I succor in contrite,
Surrounded by mephitic beings in flight,
Languidness pervicaciously embraces the skies,
From whence heaven ardently caressed our cries

'Take thee away,
For the misery shall never cease,
Plaguing at my heart, astray,
Ravishing the silhouette that once appease ...'

How your heart was a nostrum to mine,
In lustrous, elegance that kept me in line,
Now, how that maelstrom returns,
In a cancerous spell that burns.

'Weaved in a stygian, poetic painting come to life,
Here I weep evermore, forsaken, dressed in strife ...'

Thirsting for you to calm my thunderous heart
Again, which hangs midst thorns, inflamed, ne'er to part,
In black silhouetted wings that encumber,
Phantasmagorically haunting in our slumber.

Littered with an onslaught of curses,
She chose pills instead of roses.
How, in vain, can one so deeply entranced,
Be brought to his knees upon the crimson dance ...

I bet you my next paycheck I'm wrong lol I probably shouldn't because then you'll change it just to win... LOL This is the brother I remember. The dark entices the strong and brave to tackle the neverending seige of death's veil with words unfound to common savior's scrolls. (Don't ask because I don't have a clue lol) actually I do but lets see if you can figure that out! so HA! lol anyway...simply spellbinding! bravo AGAIN!!

    • LOL .... bro, you forgot??? Luciferian was one of my motifs back in the olden days with my dark poems lol ... I used to have it every poem I wrote haha ...

And .... do you really have a clue of what you just stated? lol Thanks brotha for your words .... I hope to read some more from you someday you know!!! lol ...

    HMMMM

This is one awesome piece of poetic penning! The vocabulary is so deep, I will have to look up half of the words with Mr. Webster. Personally, the last verse explains MY life to a tee. That is my favorite part. The piece is FIERCE!!!!!

    • FIERCE!! Yes ... as it was intended dear poet, thank you for your kind words ... I hope that you didn't have to look much at the dictionary for words ... It's intriguing, but I have to note, that it was the last verse that I wrote first ... it seemed to be a perfect ending for this piece ... thanks again, and hope you are having a good day/night.

your words are so full of imagery and by that i mean with feeling not really for me as in actually seeing but seeing the feeling in it, if i make sense i loved how you wrote it, and when it got down to the last stanza it was what hit me, it was so beautifully written.

    • It made you feel .... darling poetess, that is wonderful! ... you did make sense and thank you for your kind words.

There are many ways this could be taken.....therefore I read it as it was....

Littered with an onslaught of curses,
She chose pills instead of roses
    .

Many thoughts rush through my mind but the above tends to engrave itself in my psyche most...
Per  usual, your pen is astounding in all areas....
