and each kiss I saw look'd longingly like you,
but just like you, when autumn came,
the kisses fell and blew away.

Eunice Tietjens said (when asked to define poetry): "...the two chief characteristics of poetry are condensation and the heightened mood, the condensation which will not allow an unnecessary syllable, and the heightened mood which must make every syllable sing or slash." This poem is that definition of poetry for me. Thank you so much for sharing this exquisite poem.

very good
Well done. This has great imaging to it and I loved the ending:
but just like you, when autumn came,
the kisses fell and blew away.

Aaw, very nice. Hobbit Warrior is right; this _*is*_ really cute. This has a lot of emotion in it for such a short piece. I must say I really like it.
Baie mooi! Hou so aan.
