My eyes are a fightful bat
Skittering around the room
in a fearful flight
Further they soared
seeking that which
couldn't be found
Retreating behind their lids
they returned, having
not captured the gaze
of the morsel they saught
Vanquished my sight lurks
whtin the cave they
spawned, horrified by that stare
