strangle the wind February 1, 2009

music swallows me
caresses me
anoint me

in the pale autumn hours of youth.

summer comes freely
across the land.
then abandons us to winter
church goers drink
blood ritually.
cannibals all.

draw the curtains please
you’re letting in the flies
so a idiot savant lies with a goddess
in the diamond dust
of shattered Pangea.

blood clots strangle our thoughts,
strangle our words.

strangle the wind.

day breaks apart at its own bidding
so bored
only thing to do is self-destruct
watch us soldiers of love
slink away into the desert.

we have found gods
in the sands
found messiahs in the inner rooms.
we reject all
and go to lay naked with a king
the king.

i feel too much
soon the wind will silence us all.

let the silence flow freely
in the era of our new salvation.
