For Time Is Fleeting Still

In many a quivering hour lay
The broad expanse of yesterday
What shall come and free her mind?
For time is fleeting still...

Within the depth of years gone by
Is carried upon the wind, a sigh
What hope is there in moments past?
For time may bring a chill...

Her breath will fog the mirror, cold
And in the glass, her heart grows old
What song can warm her frigid soul?
For time has yet to kill...

Now here beneath an icy sky
Her shattered spirit wills to die
What sweet relief cannot death bring?
For time is fleeting still...
