Walk down to the wishing well,
cast a penny, wish em' well.
Meditate there, introspective-
search the hollow; self-detective.
Make a wish, they'll be free,
hide away from poverty,
drive the storm from their skies.
No more tears, no more cries.
Conscious thought ebbs within.
This scarless wound therein has been
a salty tide thats now receding.
Donated clot's; a heart stopped bleeding.
The plate, the fork, the signal bell.
A boundless whirl therein they fell.
A casted hope to feed the many,
that no more need wish for a penny.
Author notes
As bad as life can be, there is always hope and someone who gives a damn.
