No Love in Truth

Thou hast taught me so much, Lord, about the ways of men;
yet, there are times they still surprise me,
especially when confronted with Thy Truth I tend.
Nay, it's no surprise most deny it,
for Truth is a straight and narrow path that doth not bend;
not as their leaders' smooth words allow,
which wreak havoc, tossing them to and fro like ill winds.
It did surprise me, Lord, when one said, "Oh, Truth does stun!"
Hope flared in my heart 'til she added,
"But, there's no love in here and, for balance, needs be done."
Oh, Lord, they all agree Thou art love;
yet, understand not that hard Truth and Love be as one.
Thou hast shown me Love's heights and it depths:
endless when Truth speaks to save from death by Truth lies shunned.
They accept that it's a gift to preach the love of Christ,
quick to speak about His miracles
and when He was hung on a cross; death His bloody price,
a cost showing the depth of His love.
Yet, speaking Law is looked upon like forbidden trysts,
denying one of two Kingdom keys
that can free some from Thy fire: not graceless rolls of dice.
They forget our Saviour did both, walked and talked God's Facts;
that He loved hard words by Father's Law.
Today, doing as Christ did deems one as a vile act,
like one denying Jehovah's grace;
as though wisdom could be received through a wicked pact,
signed and sealed by Satan's own vile mark.
By one preach love; by one more teach hard words, that none lack.
If man feels no love in Truth, then he does adult'ry
and lives to divorce his Creator.
If man sees no love in Truth, then God's Word is paltry,
thus he blindly lives by Satan's way.
If man tastes no love in Truth, his life is not salty;
henceforth, he will dehydrate and die.
God said, "Obeying My Law is Love; man's is faulty."

The Psalmist wrote, "Thy Truth is thy Law."
And,Truth is one piece of God's Armour.
Saith the Lord, "Is thine armour complete?"

WOW my bossy sis...LOL...No this is just fabulous. You are amazing and your poetry speaks volumes of the Lord to all who read. I love your boldness and your knowledge of God's word. This is truly a great Bible poem with reference to Gods word. Yes the true purity of love if in Christ does bring automatic obedience because of ones loving desire for Jesus Christ and our Father, God's Word is then read and one's very hearth and soul filled with the Holy Spirit grows in their faith and loving obedience is what I believe.
