february frost

the February frost
helped you leave your footprints,
I begged for reconsideration,
but January wouldn't allow it

blown-over and washed away,
yesterdays transgressions aren't mentioned today

just the most hopeless of the hopefuls remain,
we take reservations for their disappointment

feeding them sacrificial stew built upon the new cross
