Dear Reflection

I see you looking back at me
I see the criticism in your eyes
The sneer on your lips.
You are laughing at me.
Go on laugh! I cry;
Laugh at me, jeer at me, poke fun at me
Because I know I am not beautiful,
Not glamorous.
I am just me,
Down to the spots on my cheeks,
The voluptuous thighs...
Messy hair and
Nose too big for my face.
I am me, and I hate me.
So laugh at me,
Because I know what you're thinking,
And what you think is true,
I'm a mess,
I know that.
But at the end of the day I get to laugh too,
Because what is me, is in fact also you.
