Stood upon the mossy ground,
Hearing nothing but natures sound.
The sweet ripeness of the grass;
Feeling time pause with no second pass.
So green, so new,
So fresh, so clean.
The dewy scent of ripened bark,
The whooshing of the creek.
Stepping forth, towards it now
A hand brought forth
Washing it clean
The cold water splashing around.
Such a serene scene,
Stood here alone,
With nature as my inspiration
With my mind as my camera.

beautiful poem! I love it! Especially the way “So green, so new,
So fresh, so clean.” sounds. Absolutely beautiful use of imagery and still very emotional! And just as a side note – I was standing in the middle of the stream when I took it… and holy crap was it cold!! =P =P I’m sure I’ll be able to find a spot for you in my family!! =)
