When I was just a little girl, you always looked out for me
You used to be my hero, everything I wanted to be
But now that I am older, I am starting to see who you really are
You can't hide your true face now
the man you were got lost somehow
You aren't the great man like you seemed
because your life's not what you dreamed
Your family's slowly dying inside
and never once have you tried
to get to know us for who we are
instead you leave behind this scar
So now your true reflection shows
I thought I'd been a bad daughter, a disappointment to you
and how can you desert your family after all that we've been through
I'd have turned my back long ago if I only knew who you really are
Did you do it out of love?
Do you wish we were never born?
And you always put work above
all the promises you've sworn
You always thought you could disguise
behind a happy smile
Now I see through adult eyes
that only worked when I was a child
And now my whole life is made up of lies
and it's been going on for a while
And now I can see, who you really are
