I thought about both of them today. And there was a bit of a realization. While both are friendly, one has more of the best friend qualities than the other. Let me explain:
What makes a best friend is listening. Whenever whatever whoever no matter how much it hurts to hear. And talking back. Not only attempting at advice, but just conversation. The ability to talk about everything. The ability to make things comfortable.
Both are amazing, but maybe one is better. And that's why it hurts harder.

I'm sick of attraction. I want to either stay with someone or stay alone. I hate this back and forth sort of thing. The only I like to be in motion like that is on a swing. And I haven't swung in years. I miss letting my feelings out that way.

Best friends have things in common.
Best friends just feel right.
Aren't best friends forever? We could be forever. Ugh.
