What is Wrong with Me?

What is so unspecial about me?
Nobody ever longs to be
by my side throughout
the difficulties
What is it about me
that triggers everyone to hate me?

I want to be loved
I want to be held
But there is just something wrong
I haven't been truly loved
I've never been held
What is it about me that is so wrong?

Here I am,
living my days
madly in love with
three different suitors;
each with their own flaw

One betrayed me for their ego
One ridicules me because
I'm just plain odd,
and the other, oh the other,
I just don't know him well
enough to see any problem at all

and I'll never be able
to really know him
because I can never
see him again

Here I thought
if I fell for more
than one boy
I would have
much better chances
of receiving much
desired happiness

Yet I've found nothing
but pure, decadent sorrow
I guess I'll need a thousand men
but even then who knows
if I'll ever find someone

Am I not beautiful enough for them?
Is it my ways of becoming shy?
Do they only like girls who are paper thin?
Just tell me what's wrong with me!
Tell me why

I've got to go
far beyond where I settle today
I've got to find someplace
where I can be at peace,
where I can be loved

That place is heaven.

    Describing sorrow as decadent is a magical play on the emotions and really describes a deep understanding of yourself. well done

    aww NOTHING is wrong with you theres something wrong with them!!! the poem was great though overall.....alot of desperation and sadness :'( if you ever need to talk ill be here for you...but just remember theres nothing wrong with you its them...they obviously dont know what they're missing ...thank you for the entry and good luck!
