Father and daughter,
That’s the way it should be.
Together forever,
just you and me.
Then you tell me,
she's moving in with us.
"She's great" you say,
"There’s no room to discuss."
Am I not enough for you?
She'd break us apart!
She'd take my tiara!
That's only the start!
You think you're "in love",
I'll put a stop to that.
It's for your own good,
Getting rid of that brat.
I can't tell you the truth.
Daddy, What have I done?
She's bleeding everywhere,
It's only begun.
With blood on my fingers,
and mud on my toes,
I run into the forest,
Run from all that I know.
My best friend runs with me,
Right by my side.
She saw what happened,
but still helps me hide.
We found a clearing covered in leaves,
And sat down with each other.
I looked to the sky,
And just screamed my mother.
I cried and cried,
until I couldn't anymore.
By then I heard sirens,
to loud to ignore.
I'm so sorry daddy,
I didn't give it a chance.
I only wanted to be,
your little princess.
That’s the way it should be.
Together forever,
just you and me.
Then you tell me,
she's moving in with us.
"She's great" you say,
"There’s no room to discuss."
Am I not enough for you?

one thing I don't understand your parents aren't divorced it would be different if that was your step mom lol like that's how I feel about my dad's girlfriend.

Thanks for entering your poem
interesting take on the picture I especially like
Am I not enough for you?
She'd break us apart!
She'd take my tiara!
That's only the start!
I have felt that way about my fathers new partner but I promise I never made her bleed
Good luck in my contest

whoa I like this one, powerful stuff in here...you took beyond the prompt which is amazing, explored the unknown within the photo.
this happens when she's no longer the little princess. there's a difference though in a lover's love, something us, their children can't fill
ah something like that
Thank you for your comment on mine.
